As the title of the concert itself predicts, with the present program we will witness great differences between completely different cultures of places and personalities, in this case musicians...
Among "our" European tradition, represented by the giants Mozart and Beethoven, the musicians included works that represent the South American, more precisely, Brazilian tradition. The Slovenian part is represented by Ipavč's serenade, originally for strings, which we will listen to for the first time in a different guise, as it was specially arranged for this occasion by Tadeja Vulc for the wind ensemble. As diverse as the program is, so is the ensemble cast. The Brazilian part is represented by three excellent musicians who live and work in Sao Paulo and Rio de Janeiro (Cristiano Alves, Fabio Cury and Luiz Garcia), besides them the Irish bassoonist Peter Whelan responded to the invitation of local musicians. The Slovenian part of the ensemble is represented by three musicians, soloists of the RTV Slovenia Symphony Orchestra. With the entire program and the ensemble, the artists want to emphasize that traditions, once strong each in its own space and time, can today be complemented and ennobled.
Schedule: Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Heitor Villa Lobos, Fernando Morais, Benjamin Ipavec / Tadeja Vulc, Ludwig van Beethoven.
