Have you ever walked into the office of a successful entrepreneur and been greeted by a ficus tree? Or into the bright home of a creative director with a zamioculcas on the windowsill? It's not a fad. According to the principles of feng shui and thousands of years of folk wisdom, plants have a very concrete role: they regulate the flow of energy, balance the space and - attract abundance.

How can plants affect our wealth? Managing the financial flows in life is not only a matter of strategies and Excel, but also of the environment that supports or hinders us. And if you can activate the energy of success with the right plant, why would you leave this opportunity unused? Below, we reveal plants that are more than just decoration - they are living generators of abundance. Place them in the right place, take care of their vitality, and watch as 2026 slowly becomes the year of your financial breakthrough.

Plants that attract wealth: energetic catalysts of success

Spathiphyllum – “peace lily” for clear thoughts and financial wisdom

Spathiphyllum, also known as the peace lily, is valued in feng shui for its ability to bring spiritual balance and purify the flow of energy into a space. Its white flowers symbolize purity, inner peace and – surprisingly – clarity in decision-making. It is ideal for spaces where important decisions are made: a home office, a living room or even a boardroom. Its presence, according to feng shui, balances the energy in the space and supports smart financial moves.

Sansevieria – Mother-in-law's tongue that cuts negative energy (and financial blockages)

Sansevieria, known in our country as mother-in-law's tongue, is one of the most resistant houseplants. But in terms of energy, it is much more: it symbolizes protection, perseverance and personal ascension. Its upright, lanceolate leaves are interpreted by feng shui as "shields" that protect against negative influences such as envy, fear of failure or internal blockages. In the business space, it helps maintain concentration, determination and stability. Place it in a corner of the office or near the front door - there it will energetically filter who (and what) enters.

Crassula ovata – the money tree that 'greens' your financial flow

Money tree (also known as jade plant or Crassula ovata) is probably the most famous “wealth plant”. Its fleshy, rounded leaves resemble coins, which is no coincidence – in feng shui they symbolize accumulation, growth and financial security. The placement is also important: the ideal place is the southeast corner of your home or office, as this part of the space represents the area of wealth and money according to feng shui. It is recommended to place it in a clay pot for better grounding and stability.

Lucky bamboo – harmony that pays off

Lucky bamboo (Dracaena sanderiana) is another iconic plant deeply rooted in feng shui philosophy. Its energy symbolizes growth, flexibility and long-term progress. The number of stems is key: 3 brings luck, 5 health, 7 wealth, 8 development, and 9 holistic harmony. Bamboo thrives in water supported by pebbles, which further symbolizes stability and fluidity - an ideal metaphor for healthy cash flow. Place it on your desk or near the entrance to your home.

Pothos (golden creeper) – a green guarantee for a steady flow of prosperity

Pothos (Epipremnum aureum), often called the “golden plant”, is an undemanding, but extremely energetically powerful plant. In feng shui, it is considered a symbol of continuous progress and financial stability, especially due to its natural growth – it always looks for a new path, climbs, spreads. Place it high so that its shoots can “flow downward”, symbolizing a continuous flow of abundance. It is great for darker corners of offices or hallways where other plants do not thrive – pothos brings light and money there.

Plants to activate the "energy capital" of your home?

For maximum feng shui effect, it is crucial that the plants are:

    • Healthy, clean and well-groomed – sick plant = blocked energy.
    • Placed in "strong" areas of the room – southeast (wealth), east (health), north (career).
    • In pots made of natural materials – ceramics, clay, wood support the elements of earth and wood, associated with abundance.

Plants are living beings that reflect your energy and care. If you make an effort to care for them regularly, the universe will notice—and perhaps send you a bonus in gratitude.

Let 2026 grow with your green capital

You can continue to read books on financial literacy, listen to podcasts on investing, and fill Trello with new goals (which we definitely recommend). Or you can plant some plants along the way: peace lilies, pothos, and money tree – just in case. At worst, you'll have wonderful, clean air and a nice ambiance. At best? Well, ask that entrepreneur with the jungle in his office.
