It's not easy to become a pilot. It takes years of training and hours and hours of simulation and practice before one can take the helm of a steel bird. Dogs apparently pick up on this much faster than humans. At least that's what it seems when we watch Dogs Might Fly (Sky 1 programme), which shows rescue dogs learning to fly and piloting a plane by themselves!
Dogs they can learn many things, but that they can become pilots, you probably didn't think. If we announced this news on April 1st, we would be accused of being an April Fool's joke in no time. But here we are on April 2nd and pilot dogs are real. You can follow their progress and amazing skills on Sky 1 in the show Dogs Might Fly, where they also explain why dogs are trained to be pilots.

In the video above, you can see how the dog by name Shadow (Stafford Bull Terrier) no problems flying 1000 meters above the ground and stick to the charted course. The final show will be broadcast on the aforementioned program April 3, 2016.
