Sometimes we just stand up with the left foot. But sometimes a thought simply consumes us. If we want to get rid of it, we need to know its cause.
Everyone has had a bad mood at one time or another. Sometimes we simply get up with the left foot, as the saying goes, and start the morning with a frown on our face. Maybe we feel too tired or we constantly think about some event. Maybe we have a stressful job or something else is causing the stress. To effectively eliminate our bad mood, we need to know its cause well. Depending on what we feel, we can react accordingly. Let's see what they are the most common reasons for bad mood and how to respond correctly.
Contemplation
What events can make us think or creep into our thoughts unexpectedly. Something like this could have happened, or we could have done something that we would rather not have done. These events can be remembered for days, weeks, months or even years after they happened, and they trigger unpleasant feelings in us. It can help us just to get distracted for a few minutes with something that requires our 100% attention. These are crossword puzzles, video games, making a product, exercising... Soon after that, we'll be in a better mood again.
Unfinished business
People like to postpone tasks because we prefer to take some free time or because something more important has come in between. Unfortunately, such unfinished business only starts to accumulate and does not give us peace even when we lie down on the sofa after a tiring day. This feeling is very unpleasant and forces us to get back to work despite our fatigue.
But research has suggested a different solution. We can be reassured by the fact that we decide when we will complete this task and set the clock as a reminder on our smartphone. This simple trick will completely calm us down. And also... tired ones definitely wouldn't do a good job. We prefer to rest earlier than to do things in haste and by halves.
Feeling of low self-esteem
No two days are exactly the same and sometimes we feel like we look a little weird. We would prefer not to leave the house at all, because we don't want anyone to see us. So if we feel that our confidence is not the best today, let's do something that makes us happy. Which will give us a sense of satisfaction. The release of the hormone of happiness can already be triggered exercise. It also helps to go for a walk or call a friend who knows what to say in such moments to make you feel better.
Guilt
Maybe we offended someone, made someone angry... Finding your inner peace is very important, because guilt can honestly eat us up. Let's try find a way to apologize to that person. We will do it face to face in the most authentic way. If, for example, we forgot someone's birthday, we can apologize with a cute gift that will make them smile. Apologizing is human and the other person will definitely accept the apology.
Hunger
The feeling of hunger has a strong impact on our well-being. We can be very irritable when we are hungry. Hunger is also a fairly self-evident thing, and of course we all know its solution. But we are approaching it wrongly. We jump too quickly to the vending machine or reach for the treats in the cupboard. Fast food will not satisfy all the needs of our body for normal functioning. We repeat this like a broken record, but only food that is as natural as possible will satisfy hunger well enough. One that is full of nutrients, such as fruits and vegetables.
Fatigue
When we are tired, our body does not function normally. The more things get on our nerves, the more irritated we are, we would like to see bed as soon as possible. There are many reasons for fatigue, but the most common ones are staying up late at night and lack of sleep. Even too much sleep can make us tired. It is important that we get to know our body and find out how many hours of sleep we really need. For a given moment, when we can't stand it any longer, a short one helps 15-minute rest. After it, we will wake up full of energy again. Of course, we must be careful that this rest does not become several hours long.
Discomfort with social networks
With the advent of social media, we have moved into a world of likes. We have never shared our lives with so many people at once. Likes are contagious and we quickly find ourselves seeking some kind of validation from others with every post. If our post doesn't get the desired response, we can even be a little depressed. It is important to realize that social networks reflect a different world than the one we live in otherwise. Popularity online is not the same as popularity among real friends. If your friend didn't like your picture, it doesn't mean he doesn't like you anymore. Maybe he missed the post while browsing, or maybe it didn't even show up.
That's why we don't whitewash our heads with what happens to us on social networks. Let's try disconnect for a day and rather visit a friend, go for a drink. It will give us much more satisfaction than skating for hours with thumbs up and down.
