Do not do this before dyeing your hair!

Since hair salons are currently closed, most women will choose to dye their hair at home. So that your hair does not suffer the consequences of an accidental coloring, in this article we have collected things that you absolutely MUST NOT do before coloring your hair.

If you are your own master and already dye your hair regularly, then it is clear to you that it is every coloring lottery - maybe you will achieve the hair color you want so much, but maybe you will become exactly what you don't want. There is also the possibility of damaging your hair or having an allergic reaction. If you've never colored yourself before, be REALLY careful.

We have collected some important advice from hairdressers, what you must not (and what you must) do before coloring your hair - this is the only way to achieve the best result. And this is what you clearly want!

Pay attention to the choice of color

If you think it's dyeing it won't take well do you want darker hair color, choose a darker and above all better quality color at the beginning, and in no way extend the prescribed time for the state of the color on your hair. Hairstylists say that this way you increase the risk that your hair will be damaged and dry, including the scalp.

Do an allergy test

Before exposing your hair to the chemical dyeing process, you MUST do an allergy test. Before applying the color to the hair, apply it to the inside of the elbow and behind the ear - leave it on for as long as it says in the instructions. If no redness appears, continue reading, otherwise THREADS UNDER MISCELLANEOUS!

Hair washing: YES or NO?

Hairdressers have a divided opinion on this: some say it doesn't matter if your hair is washed or not, while others say it's perfect if you don't wash your hair for a few days before dyeing. It should be optimal to dye your hair just before greasing. It is also important to avoid chemicals such as powdered shampoos, hair sprays, oils, shampoo, etc. before dyeing. An oilier scalp will also protect the scalp from toxic and harsh chemicals.

What did you do with your hair before?

Do you constantly process your hair, i.e. dye it, use chemicals, straighten it or curl it? The chances of negative results, hair loss or an allergic reaction are increased. Hairdressers are experienced and usually know how to prevent disaster on the head by using products that are kinder to the hair. In this case, commercial paint can do more harm than good. Maybe it's better to wait for the hairdresser!
