It probably goes without saying that hemp can be used in a hundred and one ways - this time it was used to make shoes: these are the first waterproof DopeKicks sneakers made from hemp!
DopeKicks they are new vegan sneakers, which, among other things, are made from industrial hemp. They will impress you not only with unique concept, but also with unsurpassed durability.
Otherwise extremely demanding hemp fiber production process is compared to the production of some other materials significantly more environmentally friendly. It has an extremely low impact on pollution, and at the same time hemp needs three times less water to grow than cotton.
The creative team equipped the sneakers with a special coating, thanks to which they are waterproof and easy to clean. He guided her throughout the production of footwear ecological design, as she also relied on recycled parts of old shoes. The inner sole, which has an antifungal and antimicrobial effect, is made of cork.
Footwear that, in addition to protection against harsh weather conditions, also offers great grip, is mainly intended for people who spend a lot of time in nature. Its production takes place on Portugal.
You can support the project at Kickstarter, where you can also order the revolutionary sneaker at a pre-sale price of 89 dollars (calculated approx 80 euros). The first buyers will get their pair as expected September this year.
