The film begins among the desert dunes of medieval Persia, where a fearless young man, Dastan, proves himself in battle with skill and courage, and is therefore adopted by the king. But the newlywed prince is more interested in wild adventures than fame and fortune, so he and the mysterious princess Tamina embark on a dangerous adventure. They try to find and secure the God's Sword, which can be used to manipulate time, which the evil nobleman Nizam wants to take advantage of.
