The story of the first eco-certified, integrally arranged community urban garden in Maribor. The genesis of a new society through four seasons.
On overgrown fields On the edge Maribor is born a civilization with a high goal: to become an alternative to the world we live in and with which we are not satisfied. They are the emerging land of the future Urban gardens. Their ideologues envisioned them as community gardens, which will supply the townspeople with fresh produce, and at the same time it will also grow a place to meet, socialize and learn. Here they are stories of four, who try to live their lives with new responsibility, and ruthlessly cycle of nature disputes and reconciliations take place. And when it's worst, just like in the Garden of Eden, expulsion happens here. It will too dream garden changed to a typical Slovenian kindergarten, where every plot is surrounded by a fence, and on top of it a bunch of covers?
Project Urban gardens was created under the auspices of a sustainability-oriented group of activists Urban furrows during European capital of culture Maribor 2012. More at furrows.org.
