Ecological awareness can be expressed in different ways. We can separate, use alternative means of transport, save water, or otherwise leave as little carbon footprint as possible. The Slovenian quartet from the green company ECOmp offers an environmental approach through wooden peripheral devices, such as a keyboard and mouse made of bamboo, which in most cases come wrapped in plastic, one of the main pollutants.
ECOcomp they are cute wooden peripherals produced in Slovenia. Mice, keyboards, headphones and speakers are made of plastic instead from natural and renewable materials. Their main ingredient is bamboo, with which they are supplied by their cooperator in China and for their products, he also cultivates it and restores plantations (one of the few who do this in the Far East). Why bamboo? Because it grows faster than all other trees in the world (it's technically grass) because it is stronger than most wood (even from some steels, so it is also used in the construction of buildings), and in addition, they get from a rough product 20 times more usable wood as it is with other trees.
Bamboo surpasses other wood also when it comes to oxygen production and absorption of carbon dioxide, and from zero to the keyboard it grows in just three months. But ECOmp's awareness does not end with the product, which is made in China, as they use it exclusively for shipments recycled packaging with the FSC signature, which simply means that for every felled tree that falls behind the packaging, a new one is planted. It is produced in Slovenia.

Cases for mice, keyboards (they speak Slovenian), speakers and headphones they are biodegradable, and the computer equipment is available individually or in a set and as a corner wireless or wired. And the price? Eco is usually more expensive, but not when it comes to ECOmp products. Their wooden peripherals are not right no more expensive than comparable plastic siblings.
On their side are not only price and quality, but also the fact that they are a step in the right direction when it comes to reducing the negative impact on the environment. an example that pulls and a decorative element. They started their sales in 2013, despite humble beginnings, demand is growing year by year. Not as fast as bamboo, but still. It goes a long way slowly. Even with penetration to foreign markets.
