If you are looking for glamor with a touch of spectacle, welcome to El Palace Barcelona.
In the heart of Barcelona is a very special hotel that has been attracting guests from all over the world for more than a century. Hotel El Palace Barcelona opened its doors in 1919 (as The Ritz), but some time ago it underwent a thorough transformation reminiscent of the golden years of the 20th century.
The hotel is located at the intersection of Passeig de Gràcia and the Gothic Quarter, where you can find a range of interesting architectural masterpieces. Therefore, it is not surprising that the El Palace Barcelona hotel is also a story in itself. As you enter through the red velvet curtains, you are greeted by marble columns, two magnificent wide staircases and one of the hotel's many original chandeliers from 1919. The hotel has hosted a number of famous guests throughout this time, and dedicated its art suites to some of them. Among them are design giants Salvador Dali and Ronnie Wood. The latter's apartment also has a jukebox from 1900.
Many are also attracted to the hotel because of the rich culinary offer. In the mornings, you are spoiled with a luxurious breakfast, which is served right in your room. There are two restaurants within the hotel - Amar and Rooftop Garden. Rooftop Garden is a poolside restaurant that serves classic Spanish dishes and cocktails during the day. Throughout the summer, it hosts pop up culinary events and a velo cinema on the roof. Amar is the official dining offering of El Palace - a seafood restaurant that has hosted Barack Obama and Steven Spielberg.
