An electric SUV? Wise choice!

SponsoredVolkswagen

Electric mobility was only an alternative a few years ago. Today, however, the electric car is a convincing and increasingly affordable choice that is also future-proof.

Drivers are rapidly accepting the fact that the electric future is actually already on our roads. The Volkswagen ID.3 has already proved that we are doing well with sales figures both in Europe and in Slovenia. New ID.4 but its mission is upgraded in a larger, SUV form with convincing arguments about the benefits of the electric drive.

A refreshing level of comfort

You get used to the comfort and simplicity of using an electric vehicle too quickly. The sensations of driving become so addictive that it becomes increasingly difficult to switch back to a car with a petrol or diesel engine. The responsiveness of the electric drive is extremely convenient in urban driving, while quiet cruising on longer routes is relaxing. The electric drive will therefore have a good effect on your well-being while driving.

ID is otherwise short for Intelligent Design, which means smart, intelligent design. With its spacious design, it is ID.4 excellent family car, and the airy atmosphere in the cabin is key to well-being. Electric motors require less space and allow for better flexibility. The battery assembly is stored in the bottom of the vehicle, so there is no need to worry about an excessively high center of gravity that would affect driving characteristics in an electric SUV. In the fall, the existing offer will be joined by an even sportier version with four-wheel drive and the GTX label. And by the way – did you know that the ID.4 can tow a trailer weighing up to 1,000 kg and can also be fitted with a roof box?

Plenty of range – for both everyday needs and summer holidays

The ID.4 with a net battery capacity of 77 kWh ensures relaxed checking of the remaining range information. It travels up to 522 kilometers on a single charge (according to the WLTP cycle). This means that there will be no need to stop for refueling on the 380 kilometer long journey from Ljubljana to Vienna or from Celje to Zadar. For everyday needs, however, one charge can last even a week.

Driving will be the cheapest, and charging the simplest, if you decide on a home charging station. When you return home, your ID.4 just plug it into the charging station and it will be ready for new challenges again in the morning. The state of charge is controlled by the We Connect ID application, which you can use to start charging, and if you diligently use the lower tariffs to charge at home, the drive will cost you only about one and a half euros per 100 kilometers. But how much does it cost you to drive 100 km in an average petrol or diesel vehicle? Several times more! Beyond the reach of a domestic charging station, the key to carefree travel on Slovenian and Croatian roads will be the MOON Charge card - with access to around 200 (soon to be close to 500!) charging stations, including around 50 fast charging stations (soon there will be around 100). For the rest of Europe, there is Volkswagen's We Charge service with more than 200,000 charging stations, as well as benefits in the IONITY network of ultra-fast charging stations, where you will charge your ID.4 up to 80 percent of battery capacity in 38 minutes.

World Car of the Year

The ID.4 also convinced the world commission, as it won the title of World Car of the Year 2021 at the international selection for the World Car Awards!

5 stars

It was also rated with the best rating of five stars in the recognized Euro NCAP (European New Car Assessment Programme) safety test.
