The children's playground was designed in accordance with the new development plan of ZOO Ljubljana. The idea for it was born during the joint planning of the zoo collective, NLB Vita and the toy manufacturer. The playground was called the Enchanted Forest. In a pleasant and creative atmosphere, they tried to create a playground that would become a novelty for Slovenian space, and as the second tourist destination in the country, they wanted to offer something fresh to foreign visitors as well. And that's how the enchanted forest was created, which is home to completely new endemic animal species, originally found only in Slovenian mythology. On the playground, we will be able to find answers to where dragons come from, what they are like and what other Slovenian mythical animal creatures are. During the games, we will also be able to read the most famous fairy tales from which these creatures originate and in which they still live. The main characters of the children's playground are a giant dragon and a snake queen, but if we are tired, we can sit on a bench in the shape of human fish, which are said to be dragon cubs. There is also a giant cobweb with a cocoon, which is eagerly awaiting young "spiders". All the games on the new innovative playground are varied and interesting. Every child, from the youngest to the slightly older, will find their own place to play and have fun. In the zoo, they want to be able to complete the playground with other characters and thus round it out. We would like to continue the idea with other animals and in world mythology, through which we would like to explain some prejudices or untruths that have taken root in people about certain animals. The children's playground in the zoo is made of acacia wood, the metal parts are mostly protected so that children cannot come into contact with sharp edges. The company that built the playground focused especially on the fact that the playground offers varied and high-quality options for children to play, and the design is attractive to the eye.
