Eric Clapton will seduce us with his latest album in Vienna at the end of June.
"It's late in the evening; she's wondering what clothes to wear...". Who doesn't immediately start singing this song when they hear the name Eric Clapton? Wonderful Tonight is one of the better and also more well-known compositions with which Clapton, the English musician, singer and songwriter, proved what kind of test he is made of.
An eternal rocker at heart, who gently stabs the heart with an expressive ballad, he began his musical journey in the mid-sixties, when he joined the band Yardbirds and began to build a wide oeuvre, which in the decades that followed, also awarded with 17 Grammys. While he initially established himself in various groups, he decided to pursue a solo career in the mid-seventies, in which he collaborated with BB King, Robert Cray and Zuccher, and left a unique musical mark with songs such as Tears in Heaven, Layla and I Shot the Sheriff.
He is bringing his own to the Austrian capital at the end of June Old Sock's 21st studio album, during which we can carelessly indulge in the many covers from his childhood and the vocal productions he created with Steve Winwood and Paul McCartney. And as an interesting fact - Clapton took the album cover or "selfie" himself with his phone while on vacation in Antigua, so don't forget your phone, maybe we'll manage to snap some good photos at the concert!
