Eternally young is a songdrama that talks about the biggest "fudge" of our time: aging. On November 13, the comedy premiere will shake the Stari oder SNG Maribor with music and laughter and destroy stereotypes about old people.
Given that no cure for aging has yet been discovered, the best death seems to be one where you die laughing. The Swiss playwright and composer also had this in mind Erik Gedeon (1963) when he wrote witty songdrama Eternally young, which will premiere on the stage of SNG Maribor on November 13.

The drama takes place in the future: to be exact in 2065 on Slovenska cesta 27, where a home for the elderly now stands instead of the former temple of art. Despite their age, the retired actors are surprisingly agile and full of energy, so it's no wonder that the building is rocking to the sounds of rock'n'roll. Forever young oldies with tracks like "Born to be Wild", "Sexbomb", "I Will Survive" and "I Got you Babe", breaking stereotypes about the third period of life.
The song drama will be directed by a Bosnian-Austrian director and musician Sandy Lopicic, who, among other things, is the leader of the famous Sandy Lopičić orchestra, and the actors who will perform include Irena Varga, Mateja Pucko, Kristijan Ostanek and Matevž Biber.
