As part of the Mars festival, the main idea of which is to connect the two capitals, Ljubljana and Zagreb, the young and promising Slovenian band Eskobars will also perform. It was founded two years ago by Jure Lesar and invited experienced drummer and friend Bogdan Sojic and bassist Roko Druscovich to participate. Their musical creation brought a new, fresh, creative wind to the Slovenian music scene. Their specialty is mischievous and original lyrics and an interesting mix of genres. At first, all the lyrics of their songs were written in English, but later they were reworked into Slovenian, preserving all the playfulness that their music possesses. Their musical style can be characterized as a mixture of fast-infectious sounds of Britpop, to which the boys added a touch of rock. The Portorož Eskobars were not seduced by Italian compositions or "terrace" songs, but by Blur's melodies and Beatle expression. Their music is based on their own ideas and is original. In a relatively short time, they created very interesting and above all original songs. Last year, they came into contact with the renowned producer Dejan Radičevič. The creative process has begun, which will bear its first fruits this year, as Dallas Records will release their debut album. Eskobars will thus stir up the Slovenian music scene, which has been dominated by monotony and calm for some time, which does not offer us any excesses. We can hear them live at the Mars festival, where they will share the stage with the mega stars of the global metal scene Skunk Anansie, Slovenian Dan D, Croatian Urban & 4 and many others.
