We have always known the saying that clothes do not make the man. It is certainly true that a person's personality cannot be improved or degraded by clothing, but a good outfit can certainly improve one's outward appearance.
We often don't want to admit that we judge a person by their outward appearance, but science he says that it only takes 10 seconds to form an impression when we meet a person. Some say yes we shouldn't judge a book by its cover, which also fits with the fact that we humans come from different social and economic backgrounds, which means that not everyone is able to invest in their appearance.
A non-profit organization has been operating in the United States for some time Sharp Dressed Mancomes, which helps men with resocialization, especially those who are got out of prison or rehabilitation and looking for employment. The founders of this organization, Christopher Schafer and his son Seth, realized that Schafer could revive his talent as a tailor while helping the most at-risk men. So decided to start sewing clothes for those who need it the most.
Christopher every outfit custom made according to the man's personality. During the week, they also collect donations from various men who have custom-made suits but no longer wear them. Every Wednesday, people from a socially disadvantaged environment come to try it out clothes, se get a haircut and eat a warm meal.
Schafer also struggled with addiction, so he understands the importance of getting a second chance. "I really think that the most important thing is to respect people. And some of these guys (who are in the photos) weren't respected and didn't respect themselves," he told PBS.
Will these dresses give them back what they lost?
