eVTOL: the first electrically powered flying taxi

Recently, many tech companies are trying to launch an air taxi service. Everything points to the fact that the time when we will reach our destination by air is not so far away.

A startup company Vertical Aerospace, which comes from English Bristol, presented eVTOL, Britain's first flying taxi. An aircraft that looks a bit like a drone is poised to revolutionize personal transportation.

At the beginning of this summer, the innovation has already done its job first flight. eVTOL flew over the airport Costwold, located near the village of Kemble in Gloucestershire.

The vehicle it drives electric battery, includes 4 rotors. The maximum is intended four passengers, and its weight is 750 kg. It is able to fly over after one charge 150 km, reaching maximum speed 300 km/h.

He stands behind the project Stephen Fitzpatrick, who, among other things, are in the championship Formula 1 owns the team Manor Racing. He confided to the public that the knowledge he acquired in motorsport also came in handy when building a new vessel. His goal is for eVTOL to become part of everyday life within a few years.
