On Thursday, June 6, at 6:00 p.m., the Faculty of Architecture of the University of Ljubljana will open the traditional exhibition of seminar works, which this year will be held under the title Od hiše do mesta. The exhibition, which will present around 1,000 student works from the academic year 2018/2019, will be on display until June 21. Between June 10 and 14, from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., there will also be guided tours for kindergartens, primary and secondary schools. With the annual exhibition, the faculty aims to bring the content and process of work at the faculty closer to the public.
Young future architects and urban planners will be with the exhibition FROM THE HOUSE TO THE CITY among other things, they looked for answers to many current problems in Slovenian and foreign cities and towns and presented their vision of the development of the environment and Slovenian society, as they see it in the future. They will also address as one of the current topics the problem of empty buildings and using concrete examples of abandoned buildings in Slovenia and abroad, showed various ideas for their revival.
What will we be able to see?
Students under the direction of the dean Assoc. prof. dr. Matej Blenkuš in cooperation with the Municipality of Krško, will present proposals for the development of the municipality in four key areas, students Assoc. prof. Jurija Sadar and they will present the vision of the development of Bled. Student group prof. dr. Aleš Vodopivca will present a proposal for the construction of a new building with a program that is missing in the capital, and we will also be able to see ideas of what the Škofljica Intergenerational Settlement should look like, a social skills campus and many other presented ideas, solutions and concepts.
Around 1000 different exhibited works, which are the result of the hard work of students in the academic year 2018/19, expresses the knowledge, breadth and creativity of young architects.
