Slovenia did not go unnoticed at Milan Expo 2015, as professional architectural publications write enthusiastically about our exhibition space or pavilion. The pavilion is designed in five prismatic shapes, placed on a geometrically varied surface, which with its shape resembles a working surface. The pavilion represents Slovenian geographical landscapes and symbolizes the growth of fundamental ideas of sustainable development. The slogan “I FEEL SLOVENIA. Green. Active. Healthy.”

They designed a temporary and at the same time "mobile" pavilion (it will be moved to Slovenia after the exhibition). SoNo architects and stands on a lot in size 1910 m2 in a great location next to the Italian host pavilion. World Expo exhibitions are held every five years with the aim of presenting countries at the exhibition on a certain current topic. The theme of this year's world exhibition is food and is held under the slogan Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life or Food for the planet, energy for life.

The fact that we Slovenians left an extremely positive impression this time is evidenced by many publications in renowned architectural publications (DesignBoom, Inhabitat), which these days report on the Slovenian Pavilion as an exceptional architectural feature of the 2015 expo.


Slovenia thus Expo Milan 2015 represents honey 142 countries, where, according to the organizers, he will see the exhibition 20 million people. The pavilion is built using natural materials such as wood and glass and includes exhibition spaces where a variety of Slovenian food is also available. You can see more photos in the gallery.
