Mark Zuckerberg is at Facebook's annual conference F8 announced that he will "Facebook Dating”, as the feature is called, soon part of the Facebook app. It will be aimed at building long-term partnerships.
At first glance, Facebook Dating resembles Tinder, but there are quite a few differences between the two. Facebook's version is more socially oriented, because when combining partners, it takes into account joint events and groups of which users of the social network are a part.
Facebook Dating will allow you to create a new profile dedicated to dating, which will be different from a normal Facebook profile. Activities will not be shared with your friends as wall posts. In the new application, you will introduce yourself only with your name. It will not be possible to match with any of the individuals on your Facebook friends list. It will also be created for the purposes of Facebook Dating a separate mailbox. When you first talk to your crush, you'll be able to send text messages, but not photos and videos.
For now, Facebook is still in the design phase of the feature, so you won't be able to use it for a while. More information will be available in the coming months.
