The main players of the current music scene or the music stars of the past got their place on vintage posters in completely different roles. French artist David Redom has appropriated popular icons from American vintage and advertising posters. Each poster thematically connects the career, album or song of an individual musician. Beyoncé, Daft punk, Michael Jackson, Outkast, Snoop dog, Aretha Franklin, Jay Z and Amy Winehouse are just a few of the music stars who make history also on vintage posters.
French artist David Redom, who creates vintage posters emblazoned with famous musicians, writes the story of music on paper and thus symbolically displays part of American history. Kanye West see on American vintage war poster "We Can Do It" of 1943, designed by J. Howard Miller as a warning against increasing female morale in the workplace. Daft Punk they advertise a casino "Get Lucky", and Amy Winehouse a cup of black coffee.
