The story of the disappearance of a younger son, which forces the family to face the past in order to understand the present. To perfect his unusual research, Robert travels to Italy, where he encounters a strange homeless man. Overwhelmed and confused by his sudden encounter with the mysterious man, he begins to follow him and all trace of him is lost. Robert's disappearance thus forces father Janez to call his older son Matej for help after many years and unresolved disputes. But since Janez cannot leave his wife Irina, who suffers from dementia, alone, Matej's wife Ana and their daughter Veronika temporarily move in with her.
