Ferrari SP38: unique, which is a real feast for the eyes

Ferrari has revealed its latest achievement and another one of a kind cars aimed at their most important customers. It is based on the Ferrari 488 GTB and shares a chassis and powertrain with it.

On the runway in Fiorano, the keys were handed over to the lucky owner, who was able to thoroughly test it on the winding track a few minutes later. Credit for shape and design unique Ferrari SP38 it goes to Ferrari's design center, which reflects not only Ferrari's ideas vision client who is a passionate car racing enthusiast. The biggest inspiration for the new SP38 was Ferrari F40, with which he connects it screaming red paint, which is applied in three layers.

At the front, we can see the unusually shaped headlights, which were made especially for the Ferrari SP38 and have extremely narrow shape. Designers at Ferrari say it's because changed of the front part visually most of the mass over the rear wheel pair. This is exactly why the SP38 works the way it does different from the Ferrari 488 GTB. The dynamics are further enhanced by the bonnet, which this time doesn't have glass surfaces. It was replaced by a hood with three air vents that dissipate the heat of the 8-cylinder. Concealing the rear spoiler is another thing that us reminds on the legendary Ferrari F40. The Ferrari SP38 will be presented to the public for the first time May 26 at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este.
