The three-day festival of contemporary performing arts brings new and unconventional artistic practices for the twelfth time in a row.
Being different is a festival, which is basically aimed at a high school audience, and its purpose is to show young people the diversity of contemporary performing arts and the various formats and contents within it. Differentiation connects art and education through numerous workshops, debates and talks with artists.
Although it is the twelfth time in a row, this year's program is unique. The program selection dissects our intimate and collective truth with very diverse approaches. This is how the organizers presented this year's program: "In the solo miniatures of Vie Negative, the authors develop their own performative language through their personal stories. Performance Let's all go! asks the extremely burning and ubiquitous question of the future of young people in our country, and this through musical forms that are particularly close to them. Frljić deals with his family history with brutal directness, interrupted by witty exits from theatrical reality, and Kviss búmm bang, masters of inventing theatrical formats and mental reversals, of course, in an unconventional way, this time with a gala celebration, play with the concept of minorities and our usual , stereotypical ways of thinking about them.”
