A flight over the stage creations of the Youth Theater of the current season has become a regular feature, as this year, for the fifth time, in addition to local productions, we can also see the excesses of the theaters with which the Youth Theater cooperates. This year, the festival will be marked mainly by two performances. Diva, co-produced by Transition Fiction Theatre, Student Center Zagreb and Laboratorij Teatra &TD, and Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose produced by ZKM and Istrian National Theater Pula. As the title suggests, Diva deals with the fascination we involuntarily feel with names like Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe, Ava Gardner, Bette Davis or Sophia Loren, and our co-creation of this grandiose illusion. To a certain extent, the show goes beyond the boundaries of the stage, as it is a mixture of performance and lecture, based on interesting facts from the life of the divas of the Golden Age. Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose, on the other hand, puts the famous phrase from Sacred Emily in the center of the stage. It is a love story on the suburban streets during the night of riots. The drama was initially intended as a musical score, but the author and director Ivana Sajko realized it as a drama without actors, as the author performs the text herself, and at the same time puts herself in the position of the writer at the moment of writing, the position of the actress performing the written text, and the position characters from their own text. Rock musicians Vedran Peternel, Alen Sinkauz, Nenad Sinkauz and Krešimir Pauk also participate in the performance, who wrote the original music for this dramatic score. The rest of Preleta's program consists of eight plays from the repertoire of the Youth Theatre, created together with the twenty-four-member SMG ensemble and other collaborators by Eduard Miler, Vito Taufer, Oliver Frljić, Ivan Peternelj, Maruša Geymayer Oblak, Marko Mlačnik, Matjaž Pograjc, Diego de Brea and Ivica Buljan. If we haven't been able to see the plays Mephisto, The Diva Svetnica Mat Prasica, Oliver Twist, The Vampire, Crime and Punishment, Amado Mio, Fornication in the Valley of Šentflorjanski, The Last Dance of Nijinsky and Cursed be the Traitor of His Country, this one is offered to us in nine festival days.
