It is simply impossible to imagine summer without Festival Ljubljana. It is the largest and oldest festival both in Slovenia and in the wider region. Ljubljana Festival will be on the program between June 17 and September 13, 2016, when the ground will be the Slovenian capital shaking from the enthusiasm of the audience and the sounds of a varied musical program. Since its inception, the goal of the festival has been to prepare a carefully selected program with outstanding artists and artistic productions from all over the world.

What will this year's Ljubljana Festival serve up? We will be able to listen to the tones from the musical quite a few times Mamma Mia! In one of the evenings, we will listen to festival compositions that marked the 25 years of independence of the Republic of Slovenia. Namely, it will be on the program Summer Night - 25 festival hits. The official opening of the 64th Ljubljana Festival will be marked by a concert of opera arias. They will perform Erwin Schrott and Jaquelina Livieri. We will also listen to piano sounds Denis Macujev accompanied by the Symphony Orchestra of RTV Slovenia. Pianist Simon Trpčeski will perform accompanied by the Slovenian Philharmonic Orchestra. We will be able to see Verdi's Otello at SNG Opera and Ballet Ljubljana. The Chinese National Opera and Ballet will perform the ballet Confucius. The concert will be inevitable Chamber String Orchestra of the Slovenian Philharmonic, which will host Dimitrije Sitkovecki and Janez Podlesko. They will surely charm the young – Mediterranean Youth Orchestra, led by conductor Marko Letonja.
Then there are: Beriozka, hosting London Symphony Orchestra and The Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra from Amsterdam, concert Vlada Kreslin with the Big Band Orchestra of the Slovenian Army and a band concert Laibach in combination with the Symphony Orchestra of RTV Slovenia, Sissi, a romantic ballet A pirate and ballet Up & Down Academic State Ballet of Boris Eifman from St. Petersburg.
