JUS is an art project that presents a series of graphics on the subject of Yugoslav cult technical products from the period between the 1950s and 1990s.
JUS is the well-known abbreviation for the Yugoslav standard, after which the project was named by its authors Darko and Marko Miladinović from the creative studio Armada. The idea of a series of graphics on the subject of Yugoslav cult technical products from the period between the 50s and 90s is to encourage and remind young authors, engineers, designers and the general public of the advanced and modern way of thinking in the mentioned period. To name just three legendary ones – Fičo, bike Rog and Tomos – it is clear in which direction the exhibition is heading.
He commented on it like this Magnificent: "The JUS exhibition presents iconic domestic products, which my generation cynically neglected and preferred foreign ones, because in our primitiveness we thought that we would be worth more in this way," and added that the exhibition is a reminder to the current generation and an inspiration to the future.
The series of graphics will be shown for the first time in the Java gallery in Sarajevo, but this will only be the beginning of JUS, as they predict, we can expect a series of new products of the Yugoslav standard, from sports equipment to food.
