The last years of the adventures of Asterix and Obelix on the movie screens are followed alternately in live and animated form. Asterix: Home of the Gods falls into this second category. The year is 50 BC and a village in Gaul remains a thorn in the side of Caesar, who out of desperation uses interesting "war" tactics after he realizes that the last stronghold of Gaul will not fall under spears and swords. Dubbed into Slovenian.
Asterix: Home of the Gods is a new hymn to the indomitable To the Gauls, who defy subjugation with the help of Asterix and Obelix Roman Empire. Because their village still remains impregnable fortress, against which all the invading hordes bounce like jumps, is Caesar forced to change tactics. This one is, "if it doesn't go ugly, it goes beautiful", to paraphrase. For if the barbarians do not succumb to spears and swords, they will the charm of Roman civilization. That's why Caesar orders the construction of "Potemkin's village" (although technically we couldn't call it that at the time, because Potemkin built the village only in the 18th century to charm Empress Catherine the Great).
And indeed. Construction begins luxury residences for Roman families, called the Home of the Gods, which penetrate all the way to the famous village.
