Is the view through the eyes of a child more authentic? Does the child see boundaries? The ones in your head, the ones on the map? After the Slovenian documentary film "Mama Europe" by Petra Seliškar made the rounds of as many as 20 film festivals in 16 countries and was richer for the international response and two awards, it will now project its story on Slovenian screens, premiering on 1. in October at 7 p.m. in Kinodvor, which will be followed by a talk with the team.
Documentary film Mother Europe was a "lost son" for a long time, but he is returning home and will introduce himself to the local public in Cinema hall. The story we are watching through the eyes of a child– little Terra from the Balkans of Slovenian (by mother) Cuban Macedonian (by father) roots intimate dialogue between mother and daughter, which brings to the fore Europe.

Five-year-old Terra she is an inhabitant of the world, because she is crossing the border for her as often as changing diapers when she was a baby. The car is her living room and borders become her favorite "game" when traveling with her parents across southern Europe (former South, Italy, Greece). Her "toys" are different people (Branko Barič, Borut Pahor, Tina and Vasko from her beloved band Barnays Propaganda), whom she meets on the trip, and in between picking up lessons about the nature, countries, history and politics of Europe, while also drawing a picture of how borders between people they create differences. Her greatest discover is that she is planet Earth the most important. A ball that we all play with, but the limits allow some to spend more time with it.
A case of Sophia's world, where philosophy is replaced by European borders, which show that one side and the other are not mirror images, but rather two worlds as a microcosm of the state-political system. But as is usually the case, the worst limits are often the ones we set for ourselves, and even in this, Mama Europe more than just lends a hand, as it shows inspiring individuals, before which they fell external borders, because they managed to destroy their own internal.
