One of the most anticipated concerts this year in Ljubljana will undoubtedly be Flogging Molly, who will also stop by us on their way to music festivals, namely in Gali Hala, where we will listen to them in the summer garden.
If the weather favors the lovers outdoor concerts, which leave a very special mark on summer evenings, will be the night at National Day got engaged under the stars this year American Celtic band Flogging Molly. Their last sold-out concert two years ago proves that they have a huge audience and loyal fans here. They performed here for the first time in 2011, and their roots go back to the early nineties of the last century, when it all started with love.
The group Flogging Molly were founded by a singer born in Dublin Dave King and American Bridget Regan, today his wife and also a member of the band, whose heart has always been playing with Irish folk music. And where the heart is, there is music. Dave and Bridget got along very well both privately and musically, and it occurred to them to combine what they love most. With a guitarist To Ted Hutt and bass players Jeff Peters founded a rock band Flogging Molly with a percussive, loud and fast rhythm.
With Dave's poetic lyrics and a searing melody spiced with a Celtic twist, the band first played in a Los Angeles pub Molly Malone's, and then slowly ventured out into the world. Although Hutt and Peters left the band before they released their first album in 2000, they have served up five albums in eleven years as a four-leaf clover that now consists of seven members, with the last Speed of Darkness three years ago, and the new one should be released at the beginning of next year, they wrote on the club's website First Ave, where they are Flogging Molly recently performed as part of the 10th anniversary Green 17 tour.
Otherwise, they do not come to us as a group Green 17 tour, but they will celebrate Slovenian in their own unique way National Day. And we have no doubt that z of Gale Hale's annual garden heard until the national celebration.
