It's been a while since the 22nd Ljubljana International Film Festival ended, but the dust hasn't settled yet. At Kinodvor, we'll be able to watch the films we missed or didn't manage to see during the festival for at least two more months. In March, the regular schedule will feature some excellent films, such as Shame, the second feature film by visual artist Steve McQueen, and Women on the 6th Floor, with Antonio Banderas as the director's 1980s acting muse in an elegant reinterpretation of the mad scientist in Pedro Almodóvar's The Skin I Live In. Next up will be the film We Need to Talk About Kevin, an intimate psychological drama based on the controversial bestseller, and the bittersweet comedy Salt of Life, a love story called Wuthering Heights, and the Italian drama Habemus Papam: We Have a Pope, whose central character is the head of the Roman Catholic Church and is one of director Nanni Moretti's more subdued and conventional works, which still combines the comic and the dramatic, the sharp and the tender, the intimate and the public.
