New Zealand artist Henry Hargreaves, stylist Caitlin Levin and designer Sarit Melmed they combined ideas and invented fun “culinary maps” countries. They did map of countries made of vegetables and fruits, various spices and other ingredients. China thus consists of noodles, Italy of tomatoes and America of corn. Fun culinary country maps they show us how food surrounds the world, changes and becomes part of it cultural identities a certain space. If we know that tomatoes come from the Andes, it is Italy the tomato queen. The project is about universality and the integration of different nations and cultures with the help of culinary experiences. Food brings us together, makes new acquaintances, and above all, opens us up borders of different cultures.
