Art director Mike Scalise, together with photographer Eric Sahrmann, created a series of unusual portraits of small super "muscles" as part of a healthy pregnancy awareness campaign.
The ads, created for the Milwaukee Health Department, feature little kids in athletic poses, such as doing push-ups, karate moves and flexing muscles. Sahrmann explains that some of the desired movements were difficult to capture, requiring a lot of post-production, including combining around 15 photos into one final product. The campaign, consisting solely of outdoor advertising, also received the prestigious CLIO award. Cute and at the same time mischievous children, they took care of conveying a healthy message in a humorous way.
