This year marks half a century since the closure of the most famous furniture manufacturer in the first half of the 20th century in Ljubljana, the Naglas factory. Naglas furniture was synonymous with quality and tasteful furnishings for bourgeois homes and is still used to good effect in many places. The excellent Naglas craftsmen were able to produce furniture according to the most modern models of domestic and foreign designers, as well as in traditional historicist styles. The lecture will present the development of this famous Ljubljana factory for the first time, using preserved products (at the Vitrina mesa exhibition), pictorial and written materials.
