Elora Hardy has decided to end her successful career in the world of fashion and devote herself fully to the extraordinary work of the design team that together developed a revolutionary sustainable bamboo home construction in Indonesia over the past five years.
Bamboo is according to Elora Hardy and her team Ibuku, an underutilized but ideally renewable resource that just needs to be maintained to last us a lifetime. Bamboo namely, they love to destroy insects, but Hardy found a way to treat bamboo with pine, which occurs naturally in nature and is indigestible to insects. Bamboo has, among other things, the compressive force of concrete, the ratio between strength and weight of steel and is one of the fastest growing plants in the world.
