Despite the fact that Zagreb does not belong to the category of typical European gay destinations where tourists come specifically, the gay population is welcome in the Croatian metropolis, as the latter offers a fairly large number of gay-friendly places for rest and entertainment. It is for this reason that through the cooperation of the Tourist Board of the City of Zagreb and the Association Queer Zagreb a printed gay guide that can be obtained from the Tourist Information Center (TIC) in Zagreb's central square, as well as in the form of an application for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The guide entitled "Zagreb & Belgrade Gay Guide 2012" can also be found at the following link: http://www.guidegecko.com/zagreb-belgrade-gay-app.htm.
With the help of the application, users can access a comprehensive, regularly updated list of gay-friendly locations in Zagreb and Belgrade, as these two metropolises, unlike others in the region of South-Eastern Europe, stand out for their good offer to the gay population. Through the application, the user can access a marked map and list of all gay-friendly clubs, pubs, places for recreation, shops, parties and festivals, associations and organizations, as well as accommodation facilities from private apartments to hostels and hotels, which have an extremely positive attitude towards homosexuals.
Through the application, users will also obtain a lot of travel information and advice for the most comfortable vacation possible.
