A German cafe prepared headgear with foam water sleeves for visitors to maintain social distance

This is how social distance is maintained in German cafes! A creative solution or just a "gag"?

Cafe and pastry shop Cafe & Konditorei Rothe in the German city of Schwerin, which is known for its particularly delicious cakes, celebrated the easing of measures related to the new coronavirus pandemic by preparing for its guests headgear with foam sleeves for the pool or for entering the water, with which we usually see children on the beaches. With that they encourage social distancing!

This is how the photo of the first visitors to the cafe was created, who drank and ate at a safe distance last Saturday wearing these special hats with long, colorful sleeves. The owner of the cafe, Jacqueline Roth, told Insider about this "prank": "In these difficult times, it's a joy if you can make others smile."

A creative solution or just a "gag"?
