German tourist organization with a campaign German.Local.Culture. represents German culture in all its diversity – an inspiration for travelers planning city and cultural trips. The campaign, divided into areas, helps guests to find their way around the tourist offer more easily.

German.Local.Culture: #YourstrulyGermany, #SeeYouSoon

A combination of authentic experiences in urban destinations, the regional integration of cities and diverse tourist offers in their surroundings. At the heart of the campaign are four areas. These are based on the most important reasons for travelers to decide to travel and help them orient themselves in the wide tourist offer.

Green – Sustainable in the city and nature

Sustainability is a global megatrend. For travel planners, this means international guests are looking sustainable offer in cities and the cultural offer of the cities are combined with one-day trips to nature. Some, however, decide on a "holiday in the countryside" and go on a trip to the city with environmentally friendly means of transport. The diversity that Germany offers here is presented as part of the thematic area Green.

Flair - From old wooden buildings to street art: the atmosphere of German cities

Area Flair it covers different architectural styles, the local atmosphere of cities and regions, and culturally interesting and special places - from street art locations to city districts with a rich history. The campaign features both well-known tourist attractions and small towns that, with their regional roots, history or current cultural program, arouse the interest of potential guests in traveling to Germany.

Craft – Handicraft traditions that can be experienced

In the field Craft we show the cultural and historical wealth of Germany with many centuries-old traditions and customs. Traditional crafts are handed down from generation to generation in craft workshops and guilds. Thus, regional culture and identity are preserved. In many places, travelers can watch craftsmen and designers at work up close and experience the authentic side of Germany.

Taste – Pleasure and taste: regional and cosmopolitan

Experience a tourist destination with local and regional specialties – this is a mandatory part of the holiday in Germany for more than half of the guests. We address this interest in the campaign in the field of Taste. In the campaign, we show new generations of gastronomes and chefs who interpret traditional culinary art in a modern way. Of course, this does not go without a glass of good wine from one of the 13 German wine-growing regions or a beer from one of more than 1,500 breweries.
