We are only a few days away from a new milestone for Slovenian women's cycling, as the start of the 26th edition of the Giro for women, the Giro Rosa, which is moving beyond the Italian border for the first time, is fast approaching. On June 3, 2015, Slovenia, more precisely Ljubljana, will have the honor of opening the most demanding women's cycling test in the world with a two-kilometer prologue. Before the race moves to home soil, the first, 102.5 kilometer long stage from Kamnik to Ljubljana will take place a day later.
Giro Rosa is one of the most important races on the calendar and the most demanding women's cycling test International Cycling Unions (UCI). In 2015, it will be held for the twenty-sixth time (the beginnings date back to 1988), but it will at all crossed the Italian border for the first time, which is why it is a special honor for Slovenia to host the women's version of the Italian bow. Which cyclist will join Alberto Contador will be known July 12, 2015, when the girls will arrive at the place San Domenico di Varzo and had behind it a prologue and nine stages, respectively 891.5 kilometers.

The prologue or individual time trial (June 3, 2015) will take place on Congress Square in Ljubljana at 7 p.m., after which the caravan will move to the start of the first stage in Kamnik and a day later, on June 4, 2015, at noon, headed back to the capital. The delights of the most prestigious women's multi-stage race will also be tasted for the second time by the cyclists of the first Slovenian professional women's cycling team BTC City Ljubljana, which will be able to prove themselves at the highest level for the first time and be presented to the domestic audience as well.
