Zlata Lisica 2017 is fast approaching. The Slovenian ski holiday under Pohorje has an earlier date this time, as it will take place on January 7 and 8, 2017. Just as Zlata Lisica is a constant star in the calendar of matches for the World Cup in Alpine skiing, it has been for the last decade the constant star on the white slopes, Tina Maze, who will use the Golden Fox as a farewell match in her extremely successful career. Maze, who captivated the Slovenian nation in front of the TV screens at the time of her greatest successes, as Bojan Križaj and company once did, will perform for the last time in front of local viewers on January 7, 2017. Golden Fox 2017 will be especially interesting this time. Already 53. The golden fox will pass as the best Slovenian alpine skier of all time. Tina Maze will be a giant slalom race January 7, 2017 used for her own farewell performance in her career, after which she will finally hang up her competitive skis. Maze will thus end her skiing fairy tale where she began it - on Maribor's Pohorje. She achieved the first victory in her career in Sölden in 2003, when she was 20 years old.

"My last match, in the World Cup final in 2015 in Meribel, turned into a fierce battle for the big globe. Even though I didn't win, I was happy and proud. But since I didn't have the time, space and energy to imagine that this was my last match, I am now very motivated to perform in front of my home audience one more time, probably for the last time.
