Among the most searched things (globally) we find attacks in Paris (over 897 million searches), Star Wars (more than 155 million) and water on Mars (more than 10 million). We also massively searched for information about the Rugby World Cup (more than 246 million searches), and the landmark of Queen Elizabeth II, the longest reigning queen in history (over 100 million). Of course, Google could not even pass The Volkswagen scandal regarding emissions, migrant crisis and Cecil the Lion.
