From September 2018 onwards, new environmental protection standards have been in effect in the automotive industry, which include the emission test according to the new world standard (WLTP) and are mandatory for all cars. The PSA Group has been producing vehicles with EURO 6.2 engines since production in May, thus ensuring a carefree transition of engines from the EURO 6.1 emission standard to EURO 6.2.
Due to the new cycle of measuring fuel consumption and CO2 emissions, there is no additional delay in the delivery of new cars at the company C Automobil Import doo due to the transition to engines with to the new EURO 6.2 standard. Only these are cleaner and have realistically advertised fuel consumption and stated emissions. Most vehicle models, compliant with this new environmental protection standard, they already have in stock, and the price for end customers will be practically unchanged compared to the previous generation of engines.
For many years, consumer organizations have been warning about the difference between the advertised and real consumption of the car, which with the appearance of small, turbo engines has increased significantly in recent years. The new tests require the cars to be equipped with special devices, and the tests are carried out on the road, in real-world conditions, and must meet pre-defined criteria regarding gradients, settlements and highways.
Already in October 2015, PSA Group analyzed the consumption of 30 brand models Citroën, DS and Peugeot in real driving conditions. They obtained even more information by analyzing an additional 20 models, in which, with the help of driving simulators, fuel consumption was observed in relation to the use of their customers' vehicles. In 2017, PSA Group thus had reliable measurement results of harmful emissions of nitrogen oxides during the actual use of vehicles by customers. So they made it possible fast and smooth transition to new engines of the EURO 6.2 standard, which is why there are no delays in the delivery of vehicles at the Slovenian company C Automobil Import doo
