It is rare that we have the opportunity to witness such an authentic and well-designed collaboration between two artists, as it is in the case of a poet Daneta Zajac and a photographer Herman Pivka. That is why we especially warmly invite you to join us.
Herman Pivk is one of the few Slovenian photographers who produces his own photographs in the dark, according to the classic silver-gelatin process. For him, this process is not just a process during which the recorded images on the photographic film are faithfully transferred to the base. Photographs are developed with an extremely creative approach and interventions ‘in reality, images of the states of being of the spirit, captured in the artistic expressiveness of nature. This spiritual dimension reveals Pivko as a creator gazing into an atmosphere of solitude and pain, into serenity and silence, in which the unattainable coolness of eternal beauty can be sensed. He understands the dimensions of this view the poet Zajc, who wrote verses in his own hand, born next to pictures, melts with the light of Pivko's images related dimensions of his similarly oriented inner view and confirms the author's authenticity', as the art historian dr. Milček Komelj.
The Stolp photo gallery is open from Tuesday to Friday between 14:00 and 18:00. Welcome!
