Which movies that will hit the screens in 2014 are the most talked about?
If the Golden Globes nominations are anything to go by, then 12 Years A Slave, a film about a man who was kidnapped and forced into slavery, and American Hustle, a comedy starring Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper, are sure to pick up some film awards. The Coen brothers made Inside Llewelyn Davies with Carey Mulligan and Justin Timberlake. Fans of comics and science fiction will definitely get their money's worth this year. You could say: "It's not, it's not": from Spiderman, the X-men all the way to the resurrection of Godzilla. The film version of Gillian Flynn's crime bestseller titled Gone Girl can also be interesting. Otherwise, we are most looking forward to the thriller Child 44, which takes place in Soviet Russia, and the thriller called Inherent Vice, based on Pynchon's crime novel.
Even the younger ones will be taken care of; the latest Disney movies; Maleficent, starring Angelina Jolie, and Into The Woods, starring Meryl Streep as a witch and Johnny Depp as a wolf, look pretty watchable. We will also see Bonelli's film about the life of the extraordinary Yves Saint Laurent.
We present to you 20 films of this year:
1. 12 Years A Slave
Steve McQueen's historical drama began to be awarded Oscars by critics even before the preview for the media was over. In addition to Brad Pitt and other excellent actors, it is necessary to point out Michael Fassbender as the psychotic, religiously insane Epps.
2. Dallas Buyers Club
In the film, Matthew McConaughey is supposed to become famous with the role of Ron Woodruff, a Texas rodeo cowboy who is infected with the HIV virus. Jared Leto stars next to him.
3. The Monuments Man
Directed by Clooney and starring Matt Damon, John Goodman and Bill Murray, the highly-anticipated film tells the story of a special forces unit working to preserve art from destruction during World War II.
4. The Amazing Spider Man 2
The main actors, Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone promise a lot, see the rest for yourself.
5. Guardians of the Galaxy
Another movie based on a Marvel comic that will delight fans of intergalactic superheroes fighting in symbiosis with aliens and, ahem, a shooting raccoon, if sources are to be believed.
6. Interstellar
A science fiction film by Christopher Nolan (Dark Knight, Inception), with Mathew Mc Conaughey again in the lead role, alongside Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway and Michael Caine.
7. Godzilla
He's back again, if anyone cares. In the director's chair is the relatively unknown Garreth Edwards, even among the actors they avoided heavyweights and left the screen to Bryan Cranston from the popular series Breaking Bad.
8. Transformers: Age of Extinction
Mark Wahlberg, Kelsey Gramer and a squadron of blondes.
9. Her
What if in the future Siri was more than an impersonal voice that you ask where the nearest pizzeria is? What if she was your sexy personal assistant and sounded like Scarlett Johansson? This important question is dealt with in Spike Jonze's drama set in the future, in which, in addition to the already mentioned Joaquin Phoenix, appears.
10. The imitation game
A heavily advertised British film about the life of cryptography pioneer Alan Turing, starring the best British actors.
11. Fury
The film's director is known for realistic and dark police dramas. This time he deals with the topic of the tank crew of the Allied invasion of Nazi Germany. Brad Pitt again.
12. Noah
Russell Crowe in a biblical blockbuster. Given the choice of director, Darren Aronofsky (Black Swan), it could be interesting.
13. The Grand Budapest Hotel
It is likely that the present film, shot in the typical Andreson manner, will also be pleasantly whimsical. This time, Bill Murray, Tilda Swinton and Edward Norton will entertain us on the screen.
14. Gone Girl
The already mentioned film based on the mysterious crime bestseller about the missing girl with Ben Affleck and Rosamund Pike in the main roles.
15. Jupiter Ascending
Mila Kunis in a sci-fi space opera?! No thanks.
16. X-men: Days of Future Past
Already the x-part of the x-men, made on the basis of the most popular comic about the x-men. Peter Dinklage from Game of Thrones was the director. We are glad that, in addition to the classic cast (McKellen, Jackman, Stewart), Fassbender is also in the film.
17. How to Catch a Monster
From the pen of Ryan Gosling, who also directed the film. Starring Matt Smith, Mendes' Eva and Hendricks' Christina.
18. Child 44
An interesting title, we hope the film will be too. Tom Hardy as a KGB agent who has fallen out of favor and must solve a series of brutal murders. Gary Oldman is also in the film, it promises a lot.
19. Transcendence
A sci-fi thriller about a murdered man whose consciousness is transferred to a computer. Of course, as befits any bizarre movie with a dick - who else but Johnny Depp. We'll see…
20. Inherent Vice
Given that it's directed by Paul Thomas Andreson (There Will be Blood, The Master), the film probably won't be easy. It is based on a crime novel by one of the best modern novelists, Thomas Pynchon. Expect a brilliant thriller with an all-star cast.
