On which day do the public holidays fall in 2017? The year 2017 will be even more generous with days off from work than 2016. If this year is served with nine days off, the year 2017 will be even kinder to us. There will be as many as ten holidays during the week, which are days off, and only two will fall on the weekend!
In Slovenia we have 12 holidays that are public holidays. As in 2016, we will be quite lucky in 2017, because it will most holidays, which are public holidays, during the week, only two will 'fall' on the weekend, which is one less than this year. Of the rest of the holidays in 2016, there will only be Christmas for the weekend, December 25, 2016 it is Sunday.

The year 2017 will be even more favorable to us. Otherwise, it won't be a very promising start, because January 1, 2017 it 'falls' on a Sunday, so all other holidays will be, with an exception National Day (Sunday, June 25, 2017), during the week. If 2017 surpasses 2016 in terms of the number of days off during the week, in contrast to this year, when there will be a total of seven extended weekends, in 2017 just three extended weekends, namely for the Easter, May Day and Christmas holidays.
