The choreographic starting point of the performance comes from Stravinsky's ballet work, which shocked the Parisian audience a hundred years ago. It is the Dedication of Spring, with which the enfant terrible of the ballet scene confirmed himself as a unique visionary, influential even in the world of film. A new ballet creation is being prepared by choreographer Edward Clug, this time with a reflection on the existential reality of the individual in modern society. At the same time, as the title already suggests, it pays homage to Igor Stravinsky on the 130th anniversary of the composer's birth, and aims to bring us closer to the aesthetics of his musical and ballet works through a new choreographic image. Through a strong artistic mind, with which even names such as Pablo Picasso or George Balanchine have worked, we can expect from an established artist in Slovenia a refined play with the aesthetics of the past, which introduces new messages and directions of modern ballet practice into today's time.
