Homemade Bounty
Ingredients
- 200 g coconut flour (grated coconut)
- ½ cup full-fat coconut milk (use the thick part)
- 2 tablespoons of maple syrup
- 200 g dark chocolate (melted)
Directions
- To make the coconut mixture: In a large bowl, combine the coconut flour, coconut milk, and maple syrup. Mix well – if it seems too wet, add a little more coconut flour.
- Forming the bars: Form the mixture into small bars or balls and place them on a baking sheet lined with baking paper. Place them in the freezer for 10-15 minutes to firm up.
- Melt the chocolate: Meanwhile, melt the dark chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. If melting in the microwave, heat in 20-second intervals, stirring in between to prevent overheating.
- Chocolate coating: Dip each coconut bar in melted chocolate, then place them back on the baking sheet. You can use a fork to help with a more even layer.
- Chill and enjoy: Place the bars in the refrigerator until the chocolate has completely hardened. Then store them in a sealed container in the refrigerator or freezer – if you can save them at all!
Tips for even better taste
- Use chocolate with at least 70% cocoa for a more intense flavor.
- Sprinkle a little coconut flour on top to make them even prettier.
- If you want a firmer texture, add a little coconut oil to the chocolate.
