With just a few ingredients, such as roasted hazelnuts, cocoa powder, honey or coconut sugar and coconut oil, you will create a creamy texture that just melts in your mouth. In addition, the spread goes perfectly on pancakes, bread, or you can use it as an addition when baking desserts. It's the perfect choice for breakfast or a quick dessert when you need something sweet but natural.

Ingredients

  • 200 g of roasted hazelnuts
  • 2-3 tablespoons of cocoa powder (without sugar)
  • 100 g of coconut sugar or honey
  • 2 tablespoons of coconut oil
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • pinch of salt

Directions

  1. Grind the roasted hazelnuts in a high-powered mixer or blender until you have a smooth hazelnut paste. This may take a few minutes, scraping the sides of the bowl several times in between.
  2. Gradually add cocoa powder, coconut sugar or honey, coconut oil, vanilla and a pinch of salt to the hazelnut paste. Blend until a smooth, creamy spread is formed.
  3. If you want a more runny spread, add a little more coconut oil or warm water and mix again.
  4. Pour the spread into a clean glass jar and store in the refrigerator for up to two weeks.
  5. Enjoy it on bread, pancakes or as an addition to various desserts.
