Na njen 118. rojstni dan grof povabi vse legendarne pošasti, od Frankensteina, Mumije do Nevidnega človeka in drugih, težave pa mu povzroči prihod mladeniča Jonathana, ki s svojimi barbarskimi človeškimi navadami ogrozi mrtvaško spokojnost hotela in se zaplete v romantično razmerje z Mavis.
