Have you ever noticed how certain plants radiate a special energy? One of these magical plants is the money tree, scientifically known as Crassula ovata. This popular succulent with its fleshy, oval leaves is not only attractive to look at, but is also considered a symbol of wealth and prosperity. In feng shui, the money tree is a reliable path to positive energy and financial success, but only if you take care of it properly.

The winter months bring challenges - lower temperatures, dry spaces and shorter days. It is precisely at this time that you must ensure that your money tree does not lose its vitality and symbolic power. If you follow the right steps, the plant will reward you with lush growth and positive energy throughout the year.

How to take care of money tree in winter?

1. Light: Let your plant catch the sun's rays

In winter, the days are shorter and the light is weaker, so it is important to place your money tree in a place where it will receive as much light as possible. The best choice is a south or west window, where there is the most light. If there is not enough natural light, you can use a plant light. A lack of light can cause the stems to elongate and the leaves to become pale and limp. Also, don't forget to turn the plant from time to time so that it grows evenly and does not start to lose its characteristic symmetrical shape.

2. Watering: Less water for more health

Because it is a money tree succulent, needs significantly less water in winter. Overwatering is the most common reason for this plant to fail. It is recommended to water it only once every three to four weeks, or when the top layer of the soil is completely dry. Use lukewarm water and always pour it directly into the soil, not over the leaves. Make sure the pot has drainage holes so that excess water drains away and does not pool at the roots. If you notice that the leaves are turning yellow or becoming soft, this is a sign of overwatering - immediately reduce the amount of water and allow the soil to dry out.

3. Temperature: Keep warm but not hot

The optimum temperature for the money tree is between 15 and 24 °C. Avoid drafts, cold windowsills and radiators, as sudden changes in temperature can shock the plant. If the temperature falls below 10 °C, the plant may start to lose its leaves. If you have the opportunity, move the plant to a place where the temperature is stable, but at the same time it has enough fresh air. Warmer, stable conditions will ensure that your Crassula ovata maintains its green color and vitality throughout the winter.

Winter care for the money tree does not require much effort, just some attention and adjustments. If you take care of the right amount of light, moderate watering and the right temperature, your plant will reward you with health, energy and symbolic happiness. They say that luck follows the prepared - so don't forget to prepare your money tree for winter!
